From the Desk of Lord Northwood
May 22nd, The day I stopped whispering and picked up the pen.
To the Ones Who Still Listen,
There comes a time in one’s life when the noise of the world becomes too deafening, and the soul begins to whisper instead. These whispers—of frustration, of longing, of hilarity, of heartbreak—demand to be written down, even if only to remind oneself that the truth, however twisted, still deserves a voice.
Thus begins Notes from Northwood, a catalogue of recollections, revelations, and the occasional reckoning. Part diary, part drama, and fully dressed in the finest silk of satire, this archive exists not to point fingers but to raise eyebrows.
What you are about to read is a collection of musings drawn from a life lived loudly, lovingly, and at times, regrettably. The names have been changed—of course they have—but the essence remains. These are stories as remembered by one with a sharp eye and a sharper tongue. If any of it strikes too close to home, you might consider whether the mirror or the pen is to blame.
Some entries may be lighthearted, others deeply personal. Some are a waltz through memory; others a messy stumble through mistakes. But all are real… or at least real enough. If art imitates life, then this is theatre of the most scandalous sort.
I do not claim to be a saint, nor shall I pretend to be a sinner without style. I simply write to remember who I am when the world forgets to ask.
With fondness, fire, and full-bodied flair, Lord Nicholas Northwood
